Darryl introduces this sermon series by talking about how the church sometimes uses the Bible to make heavy commands and burdens that no one can bear. When we place heavy burdens on people they often give up. On the other side of the coin as leaders each of us should do our best to bear the burden of leadership without giving up and keep tension between who we are and who we could be.
Graduation Sunday 2013
On this particular Sunday our church celebrated our graduating high school seniors. Darryl uses this opportunity to speak a bit about how it is important for us to have a better goal for our lives than making a name for ourselves.

The Old Testament can be a difficult to explain or teach to people. There are so many difficult subjects about the Old Testament that seem to make God "look bad". Mother's Day 2013
You may not be a parent, but everyone can be a spiritual parent. This is what God has called each of us to be when He told us to make disciples. On this Mother's Day Darryl shares a lesson based on some information from Saddleback Church that talks about how the ladies of the congregation can be spiritual mothers. Each one of us need to take spiritual responsibility for people in our lives.

When we are teaching people about God through the Word of God do we ever pause to tell them what the over-arching story of the Bible is? In this lesson Darryl shares the over arching story of the Bible. If we understand the main story that the Bible is trying to communicate it will help us understand everything else we read.

God has given us the job of making disciples. We have to be intentional and take responsibility for developing the people in the body of Christ. As we develop the Body we will be developing ourselves. This week Darryl talks about 3 ways we can disciple the people around us.

Is there anything in the world more powerful than a resurrection? Jesus is the only leader of a world religion to have risen from the dead. That sets Him a part in a huge way. In this lesson we learn what we are supposed to do with the information - Jesus is Alive!

Have you ever had information that was going to change the person's life you were going to have to share it with? (For example: Have you ever had to tell someone their loved one is dead? Have you ever had to "let someone go"/ fire them?) We each have a powerful story to tell that can change the life of its hearers if we can articulate it in a way that they understand. In this weeks lesson we talk about the power of the story of the Gospel.
