In this sermon Darryl talks about how our lives should invite Jesus to come. The lives of all of our Old Testament heroes seem to point to Jesus. Our lives should do the same.
Habits of Happiness7
In this sermon, based on a series by Saddleback Church Darryl talks about how we can minimize stress in our lives. God wants us to put our eyes on him and not spend all our times staring at all of our problems.
Habits of Happines6
In this sermon Darryl preaches a lesson that is based on the sermon series Habits of Happiness by Rick Warren. This week Darryl talks about 5 things from Philippians that we can do to protect our happiness.
Habits of Happiness4
In this message Darryl pauses to thank his church for their work this year. Thanksgiving is a time to stop and remember what we have been given. The church in Ann Arbor has been a blessing to all who meet her - especially those who are a part of her.
Habits of Happiness 2
In this second lesson of the series Habits of Happiness (based on a series by Saddleback Church) Darryl discusses the connection between being humble and being happy. God is on the side of the humble and when we are humble there is less conflict in our lives - with less conflict there is often more happiness.
Guardrails 6
In this final sermon in the Guardrails series Darryl discusses the push back that we have to creating Guardrails or boundaries for our lives. He also discusses how Guardrails can protect us and direct us if we allow them to. (This sermon series has been a collection of sermons created by NorthPoint Church in Atlanta, Georgia.)
Guardrails4
In this message based on a sermon series by North Point Church Darryl discusses why we need Guardrails and boundaries in our lives. Sometimes it is easy to see that someone else is heading in a negative direction but it is difficult to see that in ourselves. Darryl discusses some ideas on how we can protect ourselves from being blind sided by terrible situation and circumstances in our lives by putting up some Guardrails that will effect every area of our life.
Guardrails 2
In this lesson Darryl borrows material from the North Point Church. This lesson is about learning to put personal boundaries in place in order to avoid regret in the area of our friendships. Take a listen and then take action.
Guardrails part 1
In this lesson Darryl borrows from North Point Church in Georgia to present a message about avoiding regret in our lives. This message is the first in a series of six that will explore the idea of giving boundaries to ourselves so that we will avoid driving our lives off the cliff. When we are driving guardrails are meant to protect us from driving into areas that could be harmful. In our lives Guardrails are meant to be a personal decision that becomes a matter of conscience for us. Guardrails are boundaries meant to keep us from doing things that we might not recover from. Darryl encourages us to develop our own Guardrails in our lives so that we might be protected from harm.
Purity and the Beatitudes
Guest speaker Steve Pylkas continues the theme of purity by opening up the gospel of Matthew and sharing some perspective from one of the greatest teachings of Jesus.
