In our community Ann Arbor Public Schools runs a pre-school that has a large population of students who come from low - income situations. The students are often in need of essentials like warm winter clothes, food during the summer months when school is not in session and other necessities like bedding. Our church is going to be looking for ways that we can come along side the employees of the school to help out the families in need.
Specifically this fall our church is going to participate in the schools winter clothing drive. We are going to be collecting winter clothing to give to those who work at the school so that they can distribute our donations to the students.
One way we will raise money to do help with this need is by parking cars in our parking lot during sporting events at the Big House (The University of Michigan's football stadium)
On Saturday July 30th at 3pm Real Madrid will face Chelsea at Michigan Stadium as a part of the International Champions Cup summer tournament. This will be a unique opportunity for our church to raise some money for the outreach projects that we would like to do this fall.
You can help by signing up to help park cars in our parking lot during the game. It is an easy job and you will be helping us raise money to bless people in our community. Please consider taking this opportunity to bridge the gospel and our community.
